BlueJacketPerson's News

Hello all.

Recently, some people have been going through tough times, so I wanted to promote some fundraisers I found which could use some support.

Helping LA Families, run by Kimberly Spencer

Funding Susan Gil's Funeral, run by Cynthia Garcia Mancini

Help Rebuild John Schoustra's Farm, run by John Chester (this one started back in November of 2024 but I think it's still ongoing.)

I might promote more at some point, but that's what I have for now. If you're able to donate to any of them, I'd encourage you to do so. If you can't at the moment, I'd at least encourage you to share them around in order to spread awareness.

I hope everyone stays safe in these dangerous times.

As I've said I would, I made a Salad Fingers fan art thing to commemorate this year being the 20th anniversary. It's kind of late in the game at this point since it's almost 2025, but I did it nonetheless. Since it's art based on someone else's thing, I've left it under the default copyright for now as I'm not sure putting it under some kind of Creative Commons license is appropriate in this instance. I personally don't mind if people do stuff with it, but I don't know how other people may feel about it. Just want to elaborate on that.

Here's the art if you want to look:

Happy New Year's Eve all. Hope you're all doing good.

So Jelly the Not-Fish 1.3 released yesterday.

Notable changes in this version include the addition of music as well as Jelly's tentacles being recolored in order to resolve a color contrast issue. Another change, which is more on the technical side of things, is the addition of an internal "cooldown" system for scrolling through the options menu and toggling options. This was implemented in order to combat issues that arise from key sensitivity. If this feature were not implemented, the player would likely it hard to access the sounds toggle in between the difficulty and the newly-added music toggles.

That's basically what I have to say regarding that.

Here are some brief additional things I want to say regarding my plans here:

  • In a previous post, I mentioned doing something for the 20th anniversary of Salad Fingers. I still haven't gotten around to that. I'm aware it's probably somewhat late to do something at this point, but granted it was already late when I made that post. We're still within the year anyways so it wouldn't be too late to do it. Not sure my plan for this would necessarily be too ambitious anyways. It'll probably be like a piece of fanart or something like that. Shouldn't be too hard to accomplish, though I can't guarantee whether or not it'll be something of high quality. I'll at least try to put in effort though.
  • I hope to publish more animations here at some point. Some of them might just be random animated shorts, but others might be more fleshed out productions. I've made a number of animated productions in the past which I've wanted to port here at some point, though some of them may need to be slightly modified in order to comply with this site's copyright rules. I'm not sure when I'll get around to doing this stuff, but this is something I really want to do.
  • I might post more art at some point. Would be nice to practice and experiment with some stuff.
  • I am working on another TIC-80 game. I'm not sure when it will release, but after it releases on the TIC-80 site I will port it here.

That's all for now. Hope to do more here in the future.

Honestly planned to post this earlier but forgot.

Maybe I could make something related to this, even though it would be a bit late.

Also don't know why I didn't start following Doki on here until now. Definitely a mistake on my part.

I've heard word that things don't look good for the film and unfortunately the situation might not end well, but until some official word comes out, I'm going to keep fighting for Coyote vs. Acme. I actually kind of regret not doing as much activism on this platform as I have on Twitter, but here are the petitions again anyways:

https://www.change.org/p/release-the-completed-and-highly-anticipated-movie-coyote-vs-acme

https://www.change.org/p/release-coyote-vs-acme

No matter what happens, justice must be brought to this situation.

Additionally, here are some more petitions which are similar to this cause:

"Save Scoob! Holiday Haunt" petition: https://www.change.org/p/save-scoob-holiday-haunt-5ba55b25-9510-43a4-8538-8ea5bbf91056

"Release Batgirl" petition: https://www.change.org/p/release-batgirl

"Fire David Zaslav" petition: https://www.change.org/p/fire-david-zaslav-from-warner-bros-discovery-and-hire-a-new-ceo

Second "Fire David Zaslav" petition: https://www.change.org/p/fire-david-zaslav

I'm not sure how much can be done regarding the first two additional causes, but I've seen people fighting for them in somewhat recent times so if there is a chance they can be saved I'll vouch for their release. The latter two petitions are definitely something to focus on. David Zaslav is wrecking Warner Bros. and must be brought to justice. Hence, I've listed two petitions for that cause.

Earlier, a new film adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot was in a somewhat similar situation to Coyote. Thankfully, however, it was confirmed to be releasing sometime this year, though unfortunately it got demoted from theatrical release to straight-to-streaming. Apparently it will be getting a theatrical release in the UK, however.

Well, that's all I have to say for now. I hope justice will be brought to this situation and any others like it.

I did this almost a week ago so it's not exactly new news, but I never ended up talking about it in a news post like I did for my other stuff here so I'm gonna make a post about it now. Check it out if you'd like. Don't have to of course.

I'm aware I haven't done a lot here and I'm not remotely popular, but if anyone wants to give me financial support they can support me on my Patreon. There I'll monthly give people preview, extra, and behind-the-scenes content related to content I post on various platforms. If you decide to make a contribution, then I appreciate your generosity! If not, then that's okay too. All up to you.

Decided to make a short animation. It was originally made for an animation YouTube channel I recently made, but I decided to post it here too because I felt like my page could use more content.

I've made other animations which I might upload here and on the channel at some point. However, some of them have some copyrighted audio in them so I'd have to find some suitable substitute audio before uploading them in order to not break any rules.

Anyways, that's all for now. Check out the animation if you want. If not, that's fine too.

As of late, a lot of controversy has been stirring up around handling of the unreleased Looney Tunes film Coyote vs. Acme. Many have wanted it released, but Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav is intent on writing it off for tax purposes. Today, the Q4 earnings call was held. I listened to what had to be said. Not a word on Coyote vs. Acme nor anything Looney Tunes related for that matter. People are still desperate to see it release in some form, even if that form is unofficial, as they want the people who worked on the film to have their work seen by the public.

I have fought aggressively in solidarity with the defenders of Coyote vs. Acme, hoping that it will one day be made public. As of now, the fate of the film is uncertain. I don't know if they'll do much good at this point, but here are petitions related to the cause:

Regardless of what happens to the film, I want justice for it. I hope you'll want justice too.
